For the first time since 2012 versus Tennessee Tech, not one but every single student class at the University of Oregon failed to sell out their ticket allotment for Fridays Civil War football game versus Oregon State.
At 10:21 p.m. Sunday night, following the freshman classes turn at claiming student tickets, the Oregon Ducks Athletic Ticket Office announced on their Twitter profile that tickets still remain from every class allotment. The tickets will be up for redistribution this Wednesday.
After an upset loss in Tucson this Saturday to Arizona thus ending Oregon’s BCS bowl streak as well as choice comments from significant football players on offense regarding their lack of enthusiasm regarding a then projected Rose Bowl berth, the UO student body has voiced their frustrations as bluntly as they could by not selling out the Ducks rivalry game and last home game this season.
If student tickets still remain after the redistribution on Wednesday it will not effect Autzen’s consecutive sellout streak as student tickets have already been purchased.
It seems as though this majority of Duck students is a silent one as many loyal fans, many of which are enrolled at the UO, immediately voiced their frustrations at the student body on Twitter following the news.
