The Oregon State Police (OSP) Springfield area Command Office arrested four motorists for DUII over the Super Bowl weekend from 12:01 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 through 5:59 a.m., this morning.
Two people died in separate single vehicle crashes in Oregon. A 36-year-old man from Nehalem died in a crash on Hwy. 53 in Tillamook County. An 80-year-old man from Kettle, WA died in a crash on Hwy 213 in Clackamas County near I-205. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the second crash. Three people died in automobile crashes over Super Bowl weekend in 2012.
Statewide, OSP arrested 31 drivers for DUII over the weekend, down from 38 in 2012.
